Biography

Dr. Jinseok Kim is an esteemed alumnus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he earned his doctoral degree in Library and Information Science from the School of Information Sciences in 2017. His research concentrates on the impact of data quality control on knowledge extraction from large-scale data sets.

Presently, Dr. Kim is spearheading an initiative focused on automating supervised author name disambiguation in digital libraries. By leveraging automatically labeled data and record linkage, his work serves as a tool for gaining valuable insights into international trends in science and engineering research.

Prior to his doctorate, Dr. Kim received his Master's degree in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Yonsei University, South Korea, earned in 2001. His diverse academic background enriches his research approach and contributes to his multifaceted insights in the field of data science.
